Beneficiary: Solomon

Solomon is a 19 year old young man who lives in the Shiro Meda neighborhood of Addis Ababa with his mother, two younger brothers and step-father. Solomon's biological father has passed away. His step-father works as a security guard and his mother is a housewife that takes in laundry to earn a little income. Solomon is a very good student who after taking his placement exams was given a coveted spot to study Civil Engineering at Addis Ababa University. The night classes he was assigned, as apposed to the regular day courses, come with a minimal tuition cost of 1310Birr ($75) per 6 months that his parents can not afford. Solomon's mother has tried to take out personal loans to cover the tuition, but with the cost of transportation and school supplies she has gotten overwhelmed.

EBS Inc., beginning in April 2012, will cover the full cost of Solomon's tuition of 1310Birr ($75) per 6 month semester for the duration of his 6 year Civil Engineering program at Addis Ababa University. EBS will also cover his transportation, photocopying, and healthcare costs.
