Benefactor: Ayele Gulte Memorial Association

The Ayele Gulte Memorial Association has very generously donated $2000 to EBS Inc. to help fund the education of a wide variety of young people in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Mr. Ayele Gulte was a husband and father of two, who emigrated from Ethiopia in 1981. He soon thereafter began helping others settle into their new lives as the head of a non-profit, based in New York City, that helped dozens of families find jobs, health care, legal advice, affordable homes and more. Before coming to the U.S. Mr. Ayele Gulte worked at the private Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce, helping build Ethiopian businesses in Ethiopia and internationally. He was also an Editor and Writer for many major publications. Earlier in his career Mr. Ayele Gulte worked for the Haile Sellasie I Welfare Foundation where he helped raise millions of dollars to build a hospital (St. Paulos Hospital) and a nursing school. As a young man, Mr. Ayele Gulte traveled extensively, many times in the effort of promoting Ethiopian culture and business throughout Europe, North America, The Middle East, and East Africa.

Ethiopian Benefactors Society Inc. would like to thank all the members of The Ayele Gulte Memorial Association for their gift to the young people of Ethiopia and for their confidence in us.

Update: The generous donation made by The Ayele Gulte Memorial Association has allowed six young people (Estegenet, Raheal, Seble, Libona, Meseret, and Belaynesh) to pursue their goals of a better future for themselves and their families through education.

Update II: Once again Ethiopian Benefactors Society Inc. would like to express our deepest gratitude to The Ayele Gulte Memorial Association, this time for extending their aid to us for another year.
